Christie: 'Probably against the law' to get opposition research from Russia

Per the AP, Chris Christie said that it's "probably against the law in addition to being inappropriate" for a campaign to get opposition research from a foreign country, referring to Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer in which he expected damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
Christie avoided saying that the Trump campaign broke the law, suggesting that people were getting ahead of the facts: "I think the thing that bothers me the most is that we seem to have a frenzy of people jumping to conclusions."
