A third of Americans say media "too tough" on Trump

Americans are divided over the media's treatment of Trump, according to Gallup:

• "Not tough enough:" 28%
• "Too tough:" 36%
• "About right:" 21%

"Republicans overwhelmingly believe the media has been too tough on Trump," Gallup says.

At the same time during the Obama administration, 48% of Americans thought media coverage was "about right" while only 11% thought it was "too tough."
