Dems rally against "horrific" GOP budget cuts

Congressional Democrats are sounding the alarm on cuts to Medicare and Medicaid in the GOP budget (which the House will vote on tomorrow) to try to shoot the legislation down. But these cuts are not detailed in GOP budget documents that have been released to the public, per Politico.

What Democrats are saying: "If you thought ... we finally beat back [Trumpcare] ... you are dead wrong," Sen. Bernie Sanders said. "My major fear is that ... the Republicans just might be able to slip through the most horrific and destructive budget."

The GOP budget cuts $5 trillion from social programs for education, health care and child care over the next 10 years, including $1 trillion from Medicaid and nearly $500 billion from Medicare, per a Democratic report obtained by Politico.
