Theranos
Blood-testing company Theranos has settled a pair of lawsuits by Partner Fund Management LP, one of its investors, it said on Monday.
What it means: With the lawsuit out of the way, Theranos can proceed with its offer to existing investors to get more shares if they promise not to sue the company. Partner Fund Management had filed a lawsuit to block the offer, arguing its terms would make it hard for the firm to recover its investment in the event of a bankruptcy.
And yet: While this adds to the small list of disputes the company has so far resolved, it's still facing other lawsuits and investigations, including by former business partner Walgreens.
