Supreme Court lets Trump's transgender military ban proceed

President Trump will likely be able to enforce his ban on transgender people serving in the military, at least for a while. The Pentagon will still need to clear one more legal roadblock before actually moving forward with the ban, but that seems likely to happen.

Between the lines: The court's 4 liberal justices would have kept Trump's ban on ice during the legal appeals — a reminder that Trump's ability to reshape the federal judiciary is a legacy that will outlast almost any specific policy.
