Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team contacted AT&T in late 2017 regarding its involvement with President Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen, an AT&T spokesperson said.
The details: The company said it cooperated fully with the special counsel’s office’s inquiry, providing all information on their contact with Cohen from November and December before their contract with Cohen expired. AT&T says it hasn't received any additional questions from Mueller’s team and that it "considers the matter closed." The company was involved with Essential Consultants — the firm Stormy Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti says is at the center of the $130,000 payment Cohen made to her.
