Hill moves
- Sean Kelly has left his role as House Energy and Commerce press secretary. He's now director of government affairs and public policy at Atlas Air.
- Stacey Leavandosky has joined Federal Street Strategies as a strategist. She spent 27 years on Capitol Hill, including 18 as Rep. Zoe Lofgren's chief of staff.
- Stephanie Mertz Patel is now a professional staff member at the Senate Commerce Committee, where she was previously a legislative aide.
- Arden Koenecke is now Sen. Mike Rounds' press secretary, and previously served as press assistant in the office.
Administration moves
- Starla Santana has a new position as special assistant for the National Space Council, per Leadership Connect. She was recently an intern at the National Economic Council.
- Amanda DelGiudice McCarthy is now an intergovernmental affairs specialist at the Commerce Department's CHIPS Program Office. She was previously at the Department of Education.
Industry and lobbying moves
- NCTA – The Internet & Television Association has announced Shannon Scott joined as chief financial officer. Scott was most recently at New Venture Fund.
- Benjamin Schwartz is now at OpenAI, leading infrastructure partnerships and policy. He previously served as the director of national security and lead of the CHIPS Program Office's National Security Division at the Commerce Department.
- The Digital Chamber has added Jackson Mueller and Jonathan Rufrano as policy directors. Mueller was recently at Securrency and the Milken Institute's FinTech Program, and Rufrano previously led strategic initiatives at Stanford University, Spruce ID and Chainalysis. Jean-Philippe Beaudet has also joined the policy team as an associate.
- Kip Wainscott is now working on AI policy at JPMorganChase. He was previously at Snap.
- The Digital Media Association has announced the appointment of Elle Walters as communications manager. She most recently served as digital director for Rep. Debbie Dingell.
- Andres Calzada has joined the Chamber of Progress as a legal policy fellow. He was at Google before starting law school at Georgetown Law.
- Billy Feldmann has also joined the Chamber of Progress as a staff assistant. Previously he was a finance and events director for Marcus Henry for New Castle County Executive campaign.
- Chris MacKenzie is now senior director of communications at Americans for Responsible Innovation. He was previously at the Chamber of Progress.
- Katie Barr is now president at Glen Echo Group, where she was most recently executive vice president and chief operating officer.
- The Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association has announced that Cody Uhing is joining the organization as director of communications and marketing. He was previously the director communications and media relations for AdvaMed, and served as a comms director for Reps. Brad Ashford and Tom O'Halleran.
- Carl Szabo has joined TikTok's government relations office. He most recently was vice president and general counsel of NetChoice.
Nonprofit and think tank moves
- Kate Riley has been named president and chief executive officer of America's Public Television Stations. She most recently served as APTS vice president of government and public affairs.
- The Center for a New American Security has announced David McKenzie as its new director of communications. He previously worked at CNN for 16 years.
- Alice Marwick has been appointed Data & Society's director of research. Before this Marwick served as associate professor in the Department of Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
