Hill moves
- Robin Juliano has joined Democratic Whip Katherine Clark's team as policy director.
Administration moves
- The Department of Homeland Security has made its first 10 hires for its newly formed AI Corps, per our Axios cybersecurity colleague Sam Sabin.
- Flynn Rico-Johnson has joined FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks' office as policy advisor for wireless, space and international issues. Rico-Johnson previously served as deputy chief of staff for Rep. Doris Matsui. Before his service in the House, he was legislative assistant to Sen. Amy Klobuchar.
- Brian Phillips Jr. is now deputy director of the Office of Media Relations at the FCC. He previously was comms director for Rep. Yvette Clarke.
Industry and lobbying moves
- Brian Regan has joined Quadra Partners as managing director. He was previously chief legal & regulatory officer at AURA Network Systems.
- Dustin Carmack is now Meta's director of public policy, Southern and Southeastern U.S. He was previously working on Ron DeSantis' presidential campaign.
- Ken Turner, who spent more than 35 years working on spectrum management issues at the Department of Defense, has joined Crest Hill Advisors as a senior advisor.
- Crossroads Strategies has announced Reggie McCrimmon is senior vice president. McCrimmon previously had roles at Google and Twitter and worked with the Congressional Black Caucus.
- Margarita Konaev is now the head of responsible AI at Google Public Sector. Previously, she was at Georgetown's Center for Security and Emerging Technology.
- Brianna January is now director, state and local government relations, Northeast region at the Chamber of Progress. She was previously associate policy director, Maryland Association of Counties.
- Grace Kantrow, most recently a law student at Santa Clara University, is now Google public policy fellow at the Chamber of Progress.
- Joel Burke is now a policy analyst at Mozilla. He recently completed some fellowships supporting Congress on tech policy, including AI policy for Sen. Mike Rounds.
- Teresa Carlson and Maryam Mujica are joining VC firm General Catalyst full time. Carlson has worked at Amazon and Microsoft, and Mujica has spent time at the State Department, National Security Council and other tech companies.
Nonprofit and think tank moves
- Kurt Erik "Kurtis" Lindqvist has been appointed the next ICANN president and CEO and will officially assume the role Dec. 5. He previously served as CEO of the London Internet Exchange.
