A group of tech companies launched the AI Integrators Council on Thursday, per an announcement shared exclusively with Axios.
Why it matters: Tech companies of all types need to figure out how to advocate for bills and regulations that work for them in a rapidly-changing environment under President Trump.
- The council includes Alteryx, Atlassian, Box, Docusign, Peraton, SAIC, Salesforce and Twilio.
What they're saying: "We are too often seeing policy proposals that would benefit from a more nuanced view of the AI ecosystem, and the Council offers a perspective to ensure that companies integrating AI into their products can inform new policy frameworks," said Wes McClelland, the executive director of the AI Integrators Council.
- The companies want to talk to lawmakers about how AI is used daily in products like Docusign, Salesforce and Box as they figure out their own best practices, per the release.
