Why it matters: Prominent tech industry voices will testify as a bipartisan desire to bolster AI companies picks up steam on the Hill.
Driving the news: Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang and Micron executive vice president of global operations Manish Bhatia will testify at the full committee hearing at 10am ET on April 9.
- Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, founder and chair of the Special Competitive Studies Project, will also testify before lawmakers.
What they're saying: "Two principles that guide our work include providing access to affordable, reliable energy and rejecting suffocating regulation in favor of narrowly tailored governance of AI and digital technologies," E&C Chair Brett Guthrie wrote in an op-ed last month.
