Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Tuesday said he's not concerned about the impact of a continuing resolution on the CHIPS and Science Act or research and development funding.
What they're saying: "I think you will hear in both NDAA and in the CR that we are doing really well in this regard and you may hear a few new things happening," Schumer said during a call with reporters.
Driving the news: Micron and the Commerce Department today finalized a $6.2 billion CHIPS agreement, with a significant investment in Schumer's home state of New York.
Schumer also told reporters that he's not concerned about President-elect Trump's threats to get rid of the law.
"We have locked in the money, so no one, I don't care who it is and where they are, this is signed, sealed, and delivered."
