Why it matters: The supply chain giant has several options as it seeks to woo Wall Street by shedding non-core assets.

Catch up quick: The Memphis-based delivery giant announced the sale of its Supply Chain business to French container line CMA CGM earlier this month, and closed its spinoff of FedEx Freight (NYSE: FDXF) in June.

Context: FedEx has been willing to grow in high-margin shipments and areas supporting its core parcel delivery business.

Case in point: The company launched a life sciences suite as it reported $10 billion in health care shipping revenue in fiscal 2026.

What we're watching: Several divisions could be next to go, based on recent activity.

Option 1: Selling off more FedEx Logistics assets would be logical.

FedEx Logistics includes air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and trade management.

Its commercial agreements with CMA CGM as part of the Supply Chain deal could render air and ocean freight forwarding less critical to FedEx.

Customs brokerage and trade management could be tougher to part with as international customers navigate a constantly changing trade environment. 

Option 2: FedEx Office could be another potential sale candidate.

Printing and store operations might not be core to FedEx's value proposition. 

Yes, but: More than 2,000 locations around the U.S. do support its network as pick-up and drop-off sites for customers.

FedEx joined Advent in a $9.2 billion bid to buy European parcel locker provider InPost, proving it sees value in its physical footprint.

Less likely options: FedEx DataWorks and the core Federal Express network are its most valuable assets and the focus of its corporate strategy.

DataWorks could presumably fetch a strong price, but the company describes the unit as responsible for building "the FedEx of tomorrow."

What they're saying: "Our unparalleled global network and broad portfolio of solutions position us well for long-term profitable growth, and FedEx Logistics and FedEx Office are important parts of our portfolio," FedEx said in a statement provided to Axios Pro.

What's next: FedEx will wind down the rest of its nearly 20% stake in FedEx Freight over the next 24 months.

The bottom line: That might not be the end of its divestiture road.
