CSX Transportation replaced president and CEO Joseph Hinrichs on Sunday with an M&A veteran who has never run a railroad, the company said Monday.
Why it matters: Hinrichs preferred operating partnerships to M&A, even as Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern agreed to a mega deal to consolidate the rail industry.
