Innovaccer, a venture-backed health data and AI company, is looking to raise around $250 million, Axios Pro has learned.

The big picture: Innovaccer operates in a space seeing continued consolidation amid pressure from generative AI.

Inside the room: The raise would be primary capital, and part of the fundraise could comprise between $50 million and $100 million from a strategic, per sources.

Existing investors Kaiser Permanente and Danaher could be candidates, one notes.

How it works: San Francisco-based Innovaccer helps health care organizations integrate clinical and operational data to identify high-risk patients and better coordinate care.

Follow the money: Innovaccer previously raised $675 million from a long list of investors.

Alongside Kaiser and Danaher, the cap table also includes B Capital Group, Banner Health, Generation Investment Management, M12, Bam Corner Group, Omers Growth, Mubadala, Dragoneer, Tiger Global, WestBridge Capital, CalPERS and Qatar Investment Authority.

Its Series F in 2025 was a mix of primary and secondary capital at a $3.5 billion valuation.

Catch up quick: Innovaccer has been a steady acquirer, most recently buying revenue cycle management company CaduceusHealth for $66 million in May.

Last year, it acquired Story Health to deepen its chronic and specialty care offerings and Humbi AI, which focuses on health care actuarial software, services and analytics.

State of play: Innovaccer's efforts come as New Mountain Capital-backed peer Datavant is pursuing a recapitalization while folding in fellow NMC company SmarterDx.

Neither Innovaccer nor Kaiser responded to requests for comment. Danaher declined to comment.

1. Scoop: Innovaccer seeking $250M

Air taxi provider Archer Aviation today agreed to buy three Boeing subsidiaries, transforming it into a broader aerospace and defense company.

Why it matters: The deal for Wisk Aero, Insitu and SkyGrid gives Archer something investors have been demanding: Revenue.

For Boeing, the divestiture helps it refocus on its core commercial airplanes, defense and space operations.

Driving the news: Boeing will receive newly issued shares equal to nearly 20% of Archer's pre-deal share count, giving it roughly a 16% stake, Archer CEO Adam Goldstein tells Axios.

Boeing will receive warrants to buy additional shares and a seat on Archer's board of directors. It also retains access to Wisk's autonomous flight technology for its existing and future commercial and defense aircraft. 

Between the lines: The deal is a full-circle moment for Wisk and Archer after a bitter legal battle over trade secrets that began in 2021. 

Insitu adds more than $200 million in annual revenue through its profitable and fast-growing military drone business. 

Wisk adds autonomy, accelerating Archer's quest for self-flying aircraft. 

SkyGrid adds digital air traffic management software needed to safely coordinate autonomous aircraft. 

What we're watching: Autonomous aircraft will likely be deployed in defense applications first, Goldstein says, building a safety record that will help the public to eventually accept self-flying air taxis. 

In the meantime, Archer continues to test its air taxis with pilots in preparation for a splashy debut at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. 

2. Boeing deal moves Archer beyond air taxis

Flagler Health, a musculoskeletal-focused practice management software company, raised a $50 million Series B round, CEO Albert Katz tells Axios Pro exclusively.

Follow the money: Bessemer Venture Partners led, joined by SignalFire, Alumni Ventures, Streamlined, 186 Ventures, Proof VC, Tribeca Ventures and Offscript.

Flagler has raised $63 million to date, with no immediate plans to raise again, Katz says.

How it works: The New York-based company sells AI-native software directly to MSK clinics — whereas other vendors work with payors and pharmacy benefit managers.

Flagler integrates with providers' existing EMRs, automating appointment scheduling, patient engagement, prior authorization and revenue cycle management.

What's next: The company is expanding into primary care and next year plans to start selling to endocrinology providers.

What they're saying: "Patients are much more willing to listen to the medical advice when it's coming from the provider than when it's coming from the insurance company," Katz says.

3. Exclusive: Flagler Health raises $50M for MSK

German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd's proposed $4.2 billion acquisition of Israel-based ZIM faces Israeli regulator opposition, Calcalist reports. 

Why it matters: The tie-up of the fifth- and 10th-largest global container lines requires approval by the Israeli government to proceed.

Zoom in: Eight government agencies will submit opinions on the merger, and a meeting of the group that had been scheduled for this week has been postponed until Sept. 9.

Calcalist reports that most of the agencies are expected to oppose the deal.

Catch up quick: The deal includes concessions intended to satisfy the requirements of Israel's golden stake in ZIM.

Hapag-Lloyd partnered with Israeli PE firm FIMI Opportunity Funds, proposing to divide ZIM's assets between the two.

Hapag-Lloyd would get the international business and FIMI would receive 16 ships and all the Israeli assets. 

Yes, but: The head of Israel's Shipping and Ports Authority argued in an opinion last week that the Israel-based carrier would be heavily reliant on Hapag-Lloyd.

Between the lines: Saudi Arabia and Qatar hold stakes in Hapag-Lloyd through sovereign investment arms.

The bottom line: The turmoil is another example of how trade and security concerns can scuttle supply chain M&A deals.
