Pharma marketing company Solstice raised $21 million in Series A funding led by Transformation Capital, CEO Aris Saxena tells Axios Pro exclusively.

Other backers include Twelve Below and Virtue Ventures.

How it works: NYC-based Solstice's platform ingests clinical and compliance documents to accelerate advertising approvals for pharma clients.

AI creates draft copy, emails and ads that then are approved by humans.

It currently works with 15 pharma companies but aims for 50 by year's end, Saxena says.

Zoom out: Solstice plans to target giants like Omnicom, New Mountain Capital-backed Real Chemistry and Publicis (which last year acquired life sciences comms firm P-value Group for nearly $300 million).

State of play: Investors see an opening as pharma clients adjust to tighter DTC ad scrutiny from the Trump administration.

GTCR last year sold its stake in Klick Health to GIC and Linden Capital at a $2.5 billion EV, or 18x EBITDA.

DeepIntent, a platform helping Big Pharma buy ad space, last September raised $637 million from Vitruvian Partners.
