Hill moves
Stacy Sanders is joining Senate Finance Committee Democrats as chief health adviser. She was previously counselor to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra.
Hunter Lovell is now press secretary for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence under Chair Mike Turner. He was previously communications director for the Joint Economic Committee and Rep. David Schweikert.
Administration moves
Dora Hughes is now chief medical officer and director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality at CMS. She was previously chief medical officer at the CMS Innovation Center.
Kelly Scully is now the special assistant to the president and deputy press secretary at the Office of Communications in the Executive Office of the President, per Leadership Connect. She was previously a spokesperson and adviser in the EOP.
Industry and lobbying moves
Jen Brull is now president of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She comes from Aledade, where she was vice president of clinical engagement.
John Murphy is joining the Association for Accessible Medicines as CEO. He was previously chief policy officer at BIO.
Alison J. Haddock is joining the American College of Emergency Physicians as president. She was a regional dean for the Washington State University medical school.
Katie Fitzwilliam has joined PhRMA as a deputy vice president. She was previously vice president at Targeted Victory.
Michael Ward is now director of U.S. alliance development at AstraZeneca. He was previously vice president of public policy at the Alliance for Aging Research.
Lauren Cohen is joining Reservoir Communications Group as senior vice president. She previously led the life sciences and health practice at Mission North.
Allison DeBattista is joining Reservoir Communications Group as vice president. She previously was a director at the Moore Agency.
Adrienne Roberts Mortimer is now associate director of legislative affairs at the American College of Cardiology. She previously was director of legislative and political affairs at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Jody Hatcher has been named board chair of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance. He is CEO of Morris & Dickson.
Debbie Weitzman has been named vice chair of the board for Healthcare Distribution Alliance. She is CEO of Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions at Cardinal Health.
Debbie Witchey has been named president and CEO of the Association for Behavioral Health and Wellness. She previously was executive vice president at the Healthcare Leadership Council.
John Strom is now special counsel at Foley & Lardner. He previously was senior counsel at the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
Sean Kelly is now director of government affairs and public policy at Atlas Air. He previously was House Energy and Commerce press secretary.
David Cleary has joined theGroup as principal. He previously was at DLA Piper and GOP staff director for the Senate HELP Committee.
Marc Miller will be the Federation of American Hospitals' board chair for 2025. He is CEO of Universal Health Services.
Steve Speil, the longtime executive vice president of the Federation of American Hospitals, is retiring at the end of the year.
Simeon Niles is now director at McDermott+. He was previously vice president of health care innovation at JP Morgan Chase.
Pat Geraghty, president and CEO of Guidewell and Florida Blue, will serve a second term as chair of AHIP's board.
Ray Campbell is now president-elect of FAIR Health. Campbell was previously executive director of the Massachusetts Center for Health Information and Analysis.
Cameron Arterton is now deputy executive vice president of policy and public affairs at Nareit. She was previously vice president of emerging companies and capital formation at BIO.
Cody Uhing is joining the Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association as director of communications and marketing. He was previously director of communications and media relations at AdvaMed.
Academic and nonprofit moves
Alison Centofante is joining Americans United for Life as vice president of public relations and communications. She was previously director of external relations at Live Action and a communications consultant at Centofante Strategies.
Monica Massaro has been appointed executive director of the Nonprofit Kidney Care Alliance. She is also director of government relations and public policy at Hooper, Lundy & Bookman.
