🛫 Departures and layoffs

Investment in private fintech companies fell 46% globally in the third quarter compared with the same period last year, putting pressure on fintech companies that are also contending with high interest rates. 

Bank-fintech partnerships — alliances that benefit both parties — have faced increased scrutiny from regulators, but executives remain optimistic. 

SoFi Technologies plans to exit the cryptocurrency business in December, in which it initially debuted in 2019 as a high-profile participant in the sector.
