After its booming Nasdaq debut on Wednesday, eToro could explore a dual listing in other exchanges including London or Abu Dhabi, CEO Yoni Assia says.

Why it matters: No other Nasdaq-listed firm is currently also listed in Abu Dhabi.

Context: The UAE has become a financial powerhouse, but its stock exchange is heavily domestic-focused. It's been pushing to change that by promoting dual listings.

The ADX current has 89 listed companies representing $777 billion in market capitalization — with much of that valuation from companies with ties to the royal family.

What they're saying: "We have good relationships with a lot of exchanges, including LSEG, Euronext, and the Abu Dhabi exchange," Assia said Wednesday. "They really want to see more retail investors trade stocks... so it's something we might explore in the future."

He hedges that eToro has to research the full impact of dual-listing elsewhere.

eToro didn't sell any direct shares to retail investors in the IPO, as most of its users are abroad (the U.K. is its largest market). It inked a deal in December to add some ADX-listed shares on its platform.

London, meanwhile, has been in a brutal IPO rut, raising under $1 billion last year through listings. Shein's debut was expected to help reinvigorate the market, though that's been put on ice amid tariffs.

The bottom line: "To increase foreign trading on ADX, we're connecting with global exchanges and platforms, and promoting dual listings to bring in new investors," CEO Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi told Bloomberg in April.
