Stripe announced a tender offer on Thursday valuing the company at $91.5 billion.

Why it matters: The latest tender brings Stripe ever closer to the all-time high $95 billion valuation it secured in its 2021 fundraise.

Between the lines: Stripe isn't disclosing which investors are participating, except that the group will consist largely of existing shareholders.

The company says it will also repurchase shares as part of the tender.

By the numbers: In its annual letter released alongside the tender announcement, the company said total payment volume grew 38% in 2024, to $1.4 trillion.

Stripe also disclosed it was profitable in 2024 and expects to be so again in 2025.

The fintech offered to buy $6.5 billion worth of stock at a $50 billion valuation in 2023.

It offered another $1 billion for employee shares at a $65 billion valuation last year.
