Upvest, a Berlin-based investment infrastructure startup, raised a €100 million Series C round led by Hedosophia.

Why it matters: The startup serves some of Europe's largest fintechs.

How it works: Upvest's API enables fintechs, banks and wealth managers across Europe and the U.K. to offer access to fractional ETFs, stocks and mutual funds.

Customers include Revolut, Raisin, N26 and Bunq, giving over 50 million end users access to Upvest's platform.

By the numbers: Upvest processed over 20 million orders in 2024, but that number should be significantly higher next year, as the company says it is now processing over 1 million trades per week.

Zoom in: Sapphire Ventures also participated in the Series C round, along with existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Motive Ventures and Notion Capital.

Upvest most recently raised a €30 million round led by BlackRock in October 2023.

According to PitchBook, the company has raised over $200 million since its founding in 2017.

What's next: In addition to its existing investment offerings, Upvest plans to add access to crypto, derivatives, European Long-Term Investment Funds (ELTIFs), and bonds in the future.
