DealHub.io, which uses AI to optimize the enterprise sales process, raised $100 million in growth funding led by Riverwood Capital, the company tells Axios exclusively. 

Why it matters: Sales is still a heavily manual process.

How it works: Analyzing a company's historical contracts and financials in real-time, DealHub suggests appropriate pricing and actions needed. 

DealHub says it can suggest pricing for a company to hit a sales goal or discounts if renewals are falling off. 

It can also personalize the sales process based on the buyer's behavior in written communications and via calls.

Effectively, it provides pipeline prediction, revenue prediction, and collections prediction.

"It's the claim to fame for our product," CEO Eyal Elbahary says. "It's the ability for us to provide CEOs and COOs at any given moment throughout the quarter the ability to know exactly where you stand from a revenue standpoint."

Between the lines: Based in Austin, Texas, DealHub largely works with midmarket companies, with 65% of its customers in tech. 

It also works with manufacturing, waste disposal, and other businesses that have complex pricing models.

Zoom out: Trying to predict revenue has gotten trickier in the age of AI, with pricing often based on use.

Elbahary says that's created a need for tools that can accurately track use and metering in real time.

DealHub sees itself sitting between the customer relationship management software and the enterprise resource planning system.

"I think there is a new platform that is being built that packs everything into one place — so there are zero revenue blind spots," Elbahary says.

The intrigue: Elbahary wouldn't disclose the company's valuation, but says it's "near" unicorn status.

State of play: Stripe last week completed its acquisition of Metronome, which focuses on use-based billing.
