1 big thing: New jobs that caught our eye
Government and politics
Megan Jackson will join House Energy and Commerce Republicans as staff director. Jackson is new Chair Brett Guthrie's former LD and has recently been working for biopharmaceutical company ​​Alkermes.
Sophie Khanahmadi will also head to E&C as deputy staff director for the GOP. Khanahmadi was previously Guthrie's chief of staff.
And Guthrie announced he'll name Hill veterans Joel Miller as chief counsel, Jessica Donlon as general counsel, Chris Sarley as senior adviser and director of member services and stakeholder engagement, and Matt VanHyfte as comms director.
Noah Yantis became chief of staff for Rep. Dan Newhouse after serving as executive director of the Congressional Western Caucus.
Shawn Rusterholz was promoted to energy and natural resources policy director for Rep. Pete Stauber. He had been a senior legislative assistant.
Dan Horning joined new Rep. Rob Bresnahan's office as legislative director after serving as legislative assistant.
Mark Isakowitz, a Senate GOP veteran and alum of Google's government relations office, is joining new Sen. Dave McCormick as chief of staff.
Mary O'Driscoll is retiring from FERC after 17 years at the agency.
Lobbying and industry
Allyson Bell, former chief of staff to Sen. Mike Lee, is relaunching government relations firm Roemer Bell.
Todd Malan, a longtime D.C. fixture for mining companies, joined QTS Data Centers as executive vice president, government relations and external affairs. He remains a strategic adviser for Talon Metals.
Jessica Johnson is now vice president of external affairs at Talon.
Rachel Harris, former chief of staff to Rep. Debbie Lesko, joined Invenergy as director of federal affairs.
Conner Brace, an alum of the Trump DOE, joined Boundary Stone Partners as a senior vice president.
Elizabeth Horner, former chief counsel for Republicans on Senate Environment and Public Works, joined ArentFox Schiff as a government relations partner.
Megan Ekstrom joined the Alliance for Automotive Innovation as vice president for federal affairs.
Kasper Zeuthen, a U.S. Chamber of Commerce alum, joined Topsoe as head of communications.
Harris Walker joined fusion company Focused Energy as head of government affairs.
Justin Smith, a former official in the DOJ's Environment and Natural Resources Division, joined Beveridge & Diamond.
Paul Dillbeck joined Orano USA as vice president and general counsel.
Nonprofits and think tanks
BLM director Tracy Stone-Manning will become president of the Wilderness Society following her tenure at the agency.
Elizabeth Wilkins was named the next CEO of the Roosevelt Institute.
Alan Sealls was elected president of the American Meteorological Society.
Lisa Epifani, a Google and Chevron alum, joined ClearPath as head of policy.
Kate Anderson joined the Union of Concerned Scientists as director of the Food and Environment Program.
Katie Mabardy joined the Environmental Law Institute as vice president of development.
