Government and politics
James Blair will serve in the White House as assistant to President-elect Trump and deputy chief of staff for legislative, political and public affairs.
Trump announced that James Braid will return to the White House as his deputy assistant and director of the Office of Legislative Affairs.
Alyssa Anderson was named chief of staff for Rep. Juan Ciscomani beginning next year. Former chief Becky Freeman is moving to a senior adviser role.
Wendy Baig will join Senate Energy and Natural Resources next year as staff director for incoming Chair Mike Lee, per Leadership Connect.
Kate Roberts, currently with the House Energy and Commerce Committee, will join incoming Rep. Julie Fedorchak as senior adviser for communications, per LegiStorm.
John Thomas, executive vice president and chief financial and strategy officer at the Tennessee Valley Authority, announced plans to retire in March.
Georgia Commissioner Tricia Pridemore was installed as president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners.
Lobbying and industry
Pat Vincent-Collawn was named interim CEO of the Edison Electric Institute.
Neil Chatterjee, former FERC chairman currently at Hogan Lovells, joined Voltus as a strategic adviser. He also joined the advisory board for AiDash.
Jay Carrière was promoted to executive director, federal government affairs at NextEra Energy.
Mallory Richardson joined the National Association of Manufacturers as director of sustainability and environmental policy.
Andrew Malcolm, an alum of Rep. Greg Walden's E&C staff, was named vice president of federal government affairs at Constellation.
David Aaronson joined O'Melveny as a partner in the firm's Energy Industry Group.
Thomas Knight joined Vinson & Elkins as a D.C.-based partner in the firm's energy regulatory practice.
Joyce Chang joined Skadden as a partner in the firm's energy and infrastructure projects group.
Eli Cain joined the Carbon Removal Alliance as a senior policy manager.
Nonprofits and think tanks
Michael Yancey, an alum of Rep. Michael Burgess' office, joined Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions as director of congressional policy.
Mary Collins Howell, another GOP Hill alum, also joined CRES as director of communications.
