Government
Emma Cheuse was promoted to CEQ general counsel. Amy Coyle was also promoted to principal deputy general counsel.
Cheuse succeeds Justin Pidot, who rejoined the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law as codirector of the Environmental Law Program.
Robin Juliano joined House Minority Whip Katherine Clark's team as policy director.
Lobbying and industry
Maria Pope, CEO of Portland General Electric, was elected chair of the board of the Edison Electric Institute.
Adrian Deveney, Chuck Schumer's former top climate aide, launched Climate Vision, a consulting firm.
Chris Phalen, a former adviser to Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, joined the National Association of Manufacturers as vice president of domestic policy.
Lou Manzo joined Beveridge & Diamond as a principal.
Bill Malus was appointed CEO of hydro turbine tech company Natel. Former chief exec Gia Schneider will become chief commercial officer and remain on the board.
Mary Werden is joining ROKK Solutions as vice president. She was senior adviser and communications director for House Energy and Commerce Ranking Member Frank Pallone.
Robyn Bryant joined energy firm Management Solutions as director of business development.
Nonprofits and think tanks
Varun Sivaram rejoined the Council on Foreign Relations as a senior fellow for energy and climate. He previously worked in the Biden White House and for Ørsted.
Christina Baworowsky joined Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions as vice president of policy and advocacy after stints with Tesla and ChargePoint.
Morgan Brummund joined C2ES as advocacy manager.
Rich Harper joined the U.S.-China Business Council as head of government affairs. He was previously with the Outdoor Industry Association.
Brad Wood joined the National Foreign Trade Council as senior director for trade and innovation policy.
Mary Stankus joined ClearPath as operations director.
Spenser Horton joined the Bipartisan Policy Center as a senior media relations manager for the energy team. He was previously a spokesperson for the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
Shamar Bibbins was promoted to managing director of the Kresge Foundation's Environment Program.
