Project Omega will announce Thursday that it's signed a roughly $2 million contract with the U.S. Energy Department's innovation arm, ARPA-E, to process spent nuclear fuel, Axios Pro has learned.
Why it matters: The startup plans to build a $2.2 billion nuclear fuel recycling plant in the U.S. and partly fund it through a nine-figure equity raise next year.
