Atec, a startup that makes electric cookstoves, has raised $15.5 million to help it ship 200,000 of its stoves to families across Asia and Africa.
Why it matters: A third of the world cooks with mostly wood and charcoal, which can cause health problems indoors and also emits carbon dioxide.
