The big picture: After a funding pullback last year, women's health tech financing is projected to rebound in 2026.

How it works: Evvy provides at-home vaginal microbiome testing with clinician interpretation and treatment, while its AI platform analyzes its proprietary clinical dataset.

Zoom in: The New York-based company is wrapping up a study of its platform in IVF clinics as it expands into fertility.

"If vaginal microbiome-informed fertility care can help improve implantation or reduce failed cycles, patients, providers and payers will all get behind the innovation," Jain says.

Follow the money: Catalio Capital Management led, joined by US Fertility Innovation Fund, Rethink Impact, Muse Capital and Alumni Ventures.

Existing backers LabCorp Venture Fund and General Catalyst also participated. Evvy has raised almost $60 million to date.

Stunning stat: Despite accounting for roughly half of the global population, women's health receives approximately 6% of private health care investment, according to the World Economic Forum.

State of play: For startups that are receiving funding, ones using AI are pulling further ahead on valuation, mirroring the broader VC market, per SVB data.

Investors are favoring businesses that can turn clinical data into repeatable workflows, particularly in diagnostics and tools.

What's next: Jain says Evvy wants to use at-home samples to provide more frequent information across conditions, including PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause and HPV progression.
