Darling served previously as CFO of Pittsburgh Penguins

1 big thing: Jenny Darling joins Axios as Chief Financial Officer. She will oversee all financial operations at Axios, including Axios Media, Axios Local and Axios Pro.

Why it matters: Darling brings strong experience and leadership to Axios through her extensive career in finance and the media industry.

Get to know Jenny Darling: 

  • Darling joins Axios from the Pittsburgh Penguins where she served as chief financial officer. In her role, she provided strategic financial leadership to the team, while overseeing the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the organization.
  • Darling has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience in a variety of media and entertainment organizations, including NBCUniversal, CNN/HLN and Showtime Networks Inc. 
  • A native of Annapolis, Md., Darling earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from The University of Maryland, College Park.
