It's the ideal time to explore your local museum. Though these museums are observing Friday's strike, here are three new exhibitions you can visit Saturday and Sunday.
🧿 Dyani White Hawk at Walker Art Center: "Love Language" spans 15 years of the Indigenous artist's paintings, sculptures and beadwork, including a stunning 14-foot-wide piece created with over 500,000 glass beads. $18 adults, ages 18 and under free.
🚂 Thomas & Friends at Minnesota Children's Museum: The interactive exhibit inspired by the beloved children's series features destinations and characters from the show, including the blue engine himself. $17.95 in advance, $19.95 at the door.
🥶 Saint Paul Winter Carnival Buttons at Minnesota History Center: One of the state's oldest and coldest traditions celebrates 140 years with an exhibit of 100 carnival keepsakes dating to 1886. $15 adult, $8 ages 5-17, kids under 5 free
