1 big thing: A colorful cultural celebration
The Colorado Indian Market & Southwest Art Fest is coming to the Colorado Convention Center this weekend.
Why it matters: This annual event, now in its 43rd year, celebrates Native American and Western culture through art, dance and storytelling, and amplifies ways to support Indigenous communities in Colorado.
What to expect: Admire stunning work from more than 150 artists and craftsmen, both contemporary and traditional.
- Browse booths selling everything from paintings and pottery to jewelry and photography.
- Enjoy a lineup of performances by award-winning Native American musicians and dancers from across the country.
- Treat your taste buds to specialty Navajo cuisine.
Pro tips: Don't miss dances by world champion Larry Yazzie or musical performances from Inka Gold.
- And for animal lovers big and small, be sure to take photos with live birds of prey, including hawks and bald eagles, at the event.
