Today's newsletter is 644 words — a 2.5-minute read.
1 big thing: 🎉 Stanley Marketplace turns 10
Aurora's Stanley Marketplace is marking 10 years as a regional destination built around local restaurants, independent shops and community gathering spaces.
The big picture: The anniversary celebration kicks off tomorrow with three days of music, tastings, a 45-vendor creators market, vintage shopping, silent disco yoga and more.
Why it matters: A decade in, Stanley has become a fixture of the Denver-area dining and retail scene — and an early example of how adaptive reuse can turn an aging industrial property into a neighborhood anchor.
Zoom in: The main event is Saturday. Taste of Stanley runs from 2-5pm, with bites from marketplace restaurants, beer samples, whiskey tastings and retail discounts.
- Tickets are $50 and include up to 20% off purchases at participating shops, plus a commemorative tote.
If you go: Most anniversary events are free, with programming running through noon Sunday.
2. More weekend fun
🏈 The Broncos play in Denver for the first time since January, hosting the Green Bay Packers in their preseason home opener at 7pm tomorrow.
- Tailgates include DNVR's all-you-can-eat pizza party and a rooftop bash at the Courtyard by Marriott Denver Downtown West, with drink specials, a DJ and $6 hot dogs and chips.
🎈 A block party benefiting Baker Urban Garden runs noon-3:30pm Saturday, with music, games and free merch. The fundraiser will help the community garden buy the land it currently occupies. Free.
🎶 Echoes of Americana takes over Marjorie Park at Fiddler's Green on Saturday with Shovels & Rope, Langhorne Slim, The Band Loula, Gasoline Lollipops and High Lonesome. The outdoor festival starts at 2pm. Tickets are $49.
🦩 Flock Party, the Denver Zoo's annual adults-only fundraiser, returns Saturday with food stations, cocktails, live music and up-close animal experiences. Tickets start at $150.
🏰 The Big Bounce America brings what it bills as "the world's largest bounce house" to the Denver Coliseum Saturday and Sunday, with more than 50,000 square feet of inflatables and other attractions.
- Sessions are divided by age, including adults-only time slots. Tickets start at $35.
