2. 🍿 Staying in? New on streaming
Here are a few new titles —
"Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen" — available on Netflix
- A bride (Camila Morrone) grows increasingly convinced that her picture-perfect woodland wedding (with Adam DiMarco) is headed for disaster. She's right.
- Behind the scenes: It's executive produced by the Duffer Brothers of "Stranger Things" fame, and four of the episodes are directed by the "Baby Reindeer" director Weronika Tofilska.
"Detective Hole" — available on Netflix
- Based on Jo Nesbø's beloved Harry Hole novels, this nine-episode Norwegian noir follows a brilliant but self-destructive Oslo detective (Tobias Santelmann) hunting a serial killer while battling corruption inside his own department.
- Catch up quick: A 2017 film adaptation of one of those novels, "The Snowman" starring Michael Fassbender, was a notorious flop with a 7% Rotten Tomatoes score. This time, Nesbø wrote all nine episodes.
"From the World of John Wick: Ballerina" — available tomorrow on HBO Max
- Ana de Armas stars as an assassin trained in the brutal traditions of the Ruska Roma in this spinoff set during the events of "John Wick: Chapter 3."
- Keanu Reeves returns as John Wick, but this is de Armas' show. It also marks the final screen appearance of the late Lance Reddick.
"For All Mankind" — Season 5 available tomorrow on Apple TV+
- The acclaimed alternate-history sci-fi series returns, set in 2012, where the residents of a thriving Mars colony collide with those still on Earth.
- FYI: Apple confirmed that the show will end with Season 6.
"BTS: The Return" — available tomorrow on Netflix
- Days after their live comeback concert streamed globally, all seven BTS members return in a feature documentary — it follows them filming their first album together since completing mandatory military service.
- The film arrives one week after the group released their new album, "Arirang."
"Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice" — available tomorrow on Hulu
- Two gangsters (Vince Vaughn and James Marsden) and the woman they both love (Eiza González) have one wild night to survive, with a time machine thrown into the mix.
- The big picture: It's an R-rated action comedy that headlined SXSW this month.
🍣 Anna is in the mood for sushi and sake after a cherry blossom run!
