1 big thing: π Festival time
Several events are happening this weekend for Asian American and Pacific Islander History Month.
π₯ State of play: Tonight, Hi-Lawn is turning into a night market that channels the street food and performances of Hong Kong atop Union Market.
- Tiger Fork, Canton Disco, Kayu and more vendors are selling food and drink (entry is $5).
π² The Fiesta Asia Street Fair takes over Pennsylvania Avenue on Saturday, featuring live performances, pan-Asian foods and kid-friendly entertainment.
- On tap: cultural showcases from Azerbaijan to Vietnam and Mongolia.
- Admission is free.
ποΈ Plus, on Sunday, an AAPI Art & Vintage Market will take place at Maketto on H Street Northeast, with two floors of local makers and curators.

πΊπΈ The Smithsonian just opened a cool exhibit: "In Pursuit of Life, Liberty & Happiness" at the National Museum of American History. In commemoration of America's 250th, artifacts include Thomas Jefferson's portable desk, which he used to draft the Declaration of Independence.
πͺ Takoma Park is hosting a bluegrass block party on Friday, featuring live music and a family-friendly vibe.
π¬π· The Greek Festival at Saint Sophia Cathedral in Northwest is back, Friday afternoon through Sunday, so grab a gyro and stay for some live music and dancing. Event deets
π΅ D.C. has a matcha fest (who knew?). Saturday and Sunday at Union Market, Matcha World will have tastings of pastries and drinks. Tickets, though, are now on a waitlist.
πΌοΈ The National Museum of Women in the Arts is holding a tour on Saturday where you can learn about how artists use "creativity to draw attention, raise awareness, and spark conversation." Reserve a spot
πΆ The 12th annual Anacostia River Festival on Saturday afternoon is free and has activities like guided meditation, pickleball and fishing workshops.

These new streaming picks will help you end the "What should we watch?" debate.
"Dutton Ranch" β available Friday on Paramount+.
- Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) return in this "Yellowstone" spinoff, which sends the couple to Texas to build a new life far from Montana.
- Zoom in: Ed Harris and Annette Bening also star.
"Off Campus" β available now on Prime Video.
- This college ice hockey romance adapts Elle Kennedy's popular novels about love, lust, rivalry and identity.
- By the numbers: The Prime Video trailer has over 8 million views on YouTube β more than twice as many as HBO Max's trailer for the hit ice hockey romance "Heated Rivalry."
"The Punisher: One Last Kill" β available now on Disney+.
- In a stand-alone special, the bruising Marvel antihero Frank Castle is back in the spotlight. Jon Bernthal not only stars but also co-wrote the script.
- The latest: The character is set to appear in the new movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," out this summer.
"Marty, Life Is Short" β available now on Netflix.
- Lawrence Kasdan directs the film about beloved comedian Martin Short, who projected joy even amid family tragedy.
- Zoom in: Famous friends interviewed for the documentary include Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, John Mulaney and the late Catherine O'Hara.
"Tucci in Italy" β Season 2 available now on Disney+ and Hulu.
- Stanley Tucci returns to sip wine, eat pasta and show off his knife skills as he learns the food history of Campania, Le Marche, Veneto, Sardinia and Sicily.
- State of play: It's a good month for the Tucci Gang, with the actor also starring in "The Devil Wears Prada 2," now in theaters.
