Thousands will flock to Uptown today for the ACC championship.

What's happening: No. 4 Florida State (12-0) takes on No. 15 Louisville (10-2) at Bank of America Stadium tonight at 8pm.

Why it matters: Uptown will be a sea of garnet and red, and many of those fans will be staying in Charlotte's hotels and eating at restaurants, which brings in millions of dollars for the city.

Details: Fan Fest runs from 10am-7pm in Romare Bearden Park. It will include a beer garden, food trucks, mascot and school band performances, plus tailgate games and giveaways.

Of note: It's been nearly a decade since Florida State appeared in the conference championship game, and it's the first time Louisville has made it here.

• Florida State will also be without starting quarterback Jordan Travis, who was named ACC player of the year. Travis, a Louisville transfer, suffered a season-ending leg injury in November. Tate Rodemaker will start in his place.
• As for Louisville, they're looking to end Florida State's perfect season.

Spice up your weekend with a little theater.

What's happening: Charlotte Conservatory Theatre and Three Bone Theatre's Encore Series runs through today at Cain Center for the Arts.

Why it matters: Local theater gives a city character, but it's hard for artists here to make a living on stage, as we previously reported.

Details: "A Doll's House, Part 2" and "The Chinese Lady" were so popular over the summer that they're back for a limited run.

• CCT's production of "A Doll's House, Part 2," Lucas Hnath's Tony-nominated sequel to the 1879 original play, is tonight at 8pm. You don't need to have seen Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House" in order to follow Nora's journey as she returns home a self-made writer, ready to deal with the family she left 15 years earlier.
• Three Bone Theatre's production of Lloyd Suh's "The Chinese Lady" is today at 2pm. It examines America's colonial history through the eyes of a young Chinese woman. The show includes adult themes and is recommended for ages 14 and up.

"Beyond the Red Carpet: Iconic Awards and Artistic Collaborations" opens today at the Mint Museum Uptown.

What's happening: The exhibit, which was created by Charlotte-based Society Awards, runs through Feb. 18. It highlights more than 150 awards, from American Music Awards to Golden Globe awards.

Why it matters: Society Awards, which creates the trophies for popular award shows, moved from New York to Charlotte, as Axios' Alexis Clinton reported.

Details: Awards in the exhibit fall into six categories: The Makers, Notable, Unexpected, YouTube Creators, Sports and Fame.

• The museum is open Sunday 1–5pm, Tuesday 11am-6pm, Wednesday 11am-9pm, Thursday 11am-6pm, Friday 11am-9pm and Saturday 11am-6pm. It is closed on Monday.
• Admission is free for museum members, $15 for adults, $10 for college students and seniors (65+), $6 for ages 5-17, and free for children age 4 and under.

Bonus: Mariposa, a restaurant attached to the museum, will serve a special cocktail for the duration of the exhibit called "And the winner is." It includes golden champagne and honey liquor.
