Happy Wednesday! We're halfway there, y'all.
Today's weather: Mostly sunny and windy. High around 69, but as you'll see below, that's not gonna last.
Situational awareness: AAA predicts a record-breaking 80 million people will travel for Thanksgiving this year — 1.7 million more travelers than last year. (Axios)
Today's newsletter is 739 words — a 2.5-minute read.
1 big thing: Get ready to vote again, Atlanta
Everyone might be suffering from major election fatigue, but Atlanta residents have one more race they have to decide before they can tune out for a little while.
Why it matters: Voters will choose between two candidates — Eshé Collins and Nicole "Nikki" Evans Jones — to serve out the unexpired term of the Post 3 at-large seat on the City Council.
Early voting: Early voting begins Saturday, Nov. 23 and runs through Nov. 27.
- Early voting dates and times are 9am-6pm Nov. 23, 12-5pm Nov. 24, and 9am-6pm Nov. 25-27.
Where to vote early: Atlanta residents in Fulton County can find early voting locations on the Department of Registration and Elections website. Early voting sites for Atlanta's DeKalb residents can be found here.
Absentee voting: The last day you can request an absentee ballot is Friday, Nov. 22.
Election Day: The election takes place Dec. 3. Polls will be open from 7am-7pm.
Go deeper: The Center for Civic Innovation hosted a forum featuring both candidates last week. You can watch the recording on YouTube.

Catch up quick: Keisha Sean Waites resigned from the seat earlier this year to launch an unsuccessful bid for Fulton County clerk of superior court.
- Collins and Evans Jones were the top two vote-getters among the five candidates in the Nov. 5 election.
- Whoever wins the runoff will only complete the remainder of Waites' term, which expires next December — meaning they would have to run again in next year's municipal elections to remain in the seat longer.
2. A cold snap is coming
Warm weather lovers are in for a tough turn tonight and later this week.
Driving the news: Atlanta will dry out for the rest of the week, and it'll be much cooler.
- Temperatures tomorrow morning will be in the low 40s, and the high will only reach the mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Atlanta.
- You can expect much of the same for the rest of the week. It will be cooler Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with lows in the upper 30s.
What we're watching: Temperatures will climb to the 60s by Sunday and Monday.
Our thought bubble: Bring in those plants or cover them up to protect them from the cold!
3. How much a kitchen remodel costs in Atlanta

The typical kitchen renovation in Atlanta will cost between $13,000 and $37,000, Angi data from remodels conducted from 2012 through 2022 shows.
- The average cost was just under $22,000.
Why it matters: Kitchen upgrades tend to have a high return on investment and can help sell your home down the line.
Zoom in: If you're on a tighter budget "paint is your best friend," kitchen designer Heidi Huddleston says. A fresh cabinet color can transform the space.
- For a high-impact DIY upgrade, "changing the hardware is like switching the jewelry on an outfit," she says. Consider swapping cabinet knobs for matte black handles or satin brass pulls for a more stylish look.
What's next: Clean lines, simple cabinet fronts and natural wood tones are up-and-coming kitchen design trends, Huddleston says.
4. Our favorite paint color

Behr's top-selling paint color in Georgia this year is "Adirondack Blue."
The latest: Paint giants like Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore recently released their annual color of the year announcements, setting the tone for the next big colors in home design.
Zoom in: The gray-ish Adirondack Blue is a "stable and reassuring slate" color that "echoes the calm respite of natural settings and refined sophistication," per Behr.
What they're saying: When it comes to color, consumers spring for blues and greens — leaning into the beauty of nature, Erika Woelfel, VP of color and creative services at Behr, tells Axios.
