New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman filed a lawsuit Sunday against The Weinstein Company and its co-founders, Harvey Weinstein and Bob Weinstein, for "egregious violations” of the state’s civil rights, human rights, and business laws.
What's happening: The suit alleges that the company’s executives and board have repeatedly failed to protect employees from Harvey Weinstein, and said that any future sale of company must ensure victims are compensated. The suit also details new employee-victim accounts of sexual harassment, intimidation, and other misconduct.
