Scottsdale's summer heat isn't letting up for Labor Day weekend — but neither are the city's resorts, which are rolling out fireworks, pool parties and other reasons to stay in town.
Here's a list of things to do.
Last minute: Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is offering Arizona residents up to 25% off for the long weekend.
- Watch fireworks at the Lagoon Lawn and Sunset Beach (Saturday, 9pm), or catch a "dive in" movie like "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," "Secret Life of Pets" or "Smurfs."
- For the littles: Fishing derbies, foam parties, poolside games and a Trailblazers Kids Club featuring supervised activities.
The Grand Hyatt Scottsdale will also host a fireworks show Saturday at 9pm, free to the public.
- Pro tip: Arrive early to secure the perfect viewing spot.
W Scottsdale is the place to be if you're looking for a pool party, with events stacked through the long weekend at the WET Deck from 10am onward.
- General admission passes are $60 and include access to the pool party, a live DJ and poolside cocktails.
The REMI's Allegra Rooftop Pool — the tallest in Scottsdale, with views of Camelback Mountain — will also host parties, with day passes priced at $50. Table service is an additional cost.
Worthy of your time: For fans of country music who don't mind a long drive, Zach Bryan is bringing "With Heaven On Tour" to State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Saturday at 7pm. Tickets are as low as $60.
The bottom line: You can still make the long weekend feel like a vacation — without leaving town.
