And just like that, it's the last weekend of September.
The big picture: From fighter jets and food crawls to electronic music and Pacific Island culture, there's plenty to do.
✈️ Miramar Air Show: The Blue Angels, military aircraft and civilian aerobatic performers take over MCAS Miramar Friday through Sunday, with gates opening at 8am. General admission and parking are free.
👻 The Haunted Trail of Balboa Park: Spooky season starts Friday as the mile-long outdoor Haunted Trail and its eXperiment Maze return to Balboa Park, running Friday through Sunday evening this weekend.
🤠 Poway Rodeo: Cowboys and cowgirls compete at the Poway Valley Riders Association Arena Friday at 7:30pm and Saturday at 1pm and 7:30pm.
🎧 CRSSD Festival: The 21+ electronic music festival returns to Waterfront Park Saturday and Sunday with Chris Lake b2b Disclosure, Mochakk and dozens more. Doors open at noon both days.
🌺 Pacific Islander Festival: Traditional music and dance, cultural workshops, island food and craft vendors fill Ski Beach Saturday and Sunday for the free festival celebrating Melanesian, Micronesian and Polynesian cultures.
🐉 San Diego International Dragon Boat Race: Teams race across Mission Bay at North Tecolote Shores Saturday and Sunday, with a vendor village alongside the competition.
🏡 Mission Hills Historic Home Tour: Peek inside architecturally significant Mid-Century Modern homes, including works by Lloyd Ruocco, Frederick Liebhardt and Homer Delawie, Saturday 10am-4pm. Tickets are $50-$60.
🌙 Harvest Moon Dinner: The Ilan-Lael Foundation hosts dinner, regional wine, art and a poetry reading from former U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón at James Hubbell's Santa Ysabel property Saturday 3-8pm. Tickets are $175.
🎨 Rupinder Kaloti: The Gathering: The Punjabi-American artist's colorful new exhibition exploring immigration, family and ancestral connection opens Saturday at Oceanside Museum of Art.
🍽️ Taste of College Area: More than 20 restaurants, coffee shops and eateries across College Area and Rolando offer tastings Sunday 11am-3pm, with free trolley rides along the route. Tickets are $40.
