This weekend's weather looks perfect! Time to make some plans.
The big picture: From music to family fun to food festivals, there's plenty to do.
🎪 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey — The circus takes over Pechanga Arena all weekend, with a Friday night show plus multiple performances Saturday and Sunday.
🥊 Santillan vs. Baraou — San Diego boxer Giovani Santillan faces Abass Baraou in the main event Friday at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, with the card starting at 4:30pm.
🦖 Nat at Night — The San Diego Natural History Museum stays open until 11pm Friday with exhibits, rooftop views and half-price admission after 5pm in Balboa Park.
🇲🇽 Old Town San Diego Fiestas Patrias — Celebrate Mexican independence with free music, traditional crafts and living-history demonstrations Saturday 11am to 4pm at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.
🍺 Stone Brewing 30th Anniversary Celebration — Stone marks 30 years with live music, arcade games, pet adoptions and throwback fun Saturday 11am to 9pm at Liberty Station. General admission is free.
🍽️ Taste of Gaslamp — Snack your way through 20-plus restaurants on a self-guided tasting tour Saturday 1pm to 4pm across the Gaslamp Quarter.
🇬🇷 Cardiff Greek Festival — Greek food, live music, folk dancing and church tours fill the weekend at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cardiff Saturday and Sunday.
🎨 Alley Cat Art Fest — More than 50 local artists, live music, food and public art take over Downtown El Cajon Saturday 10am to 6pm. Free.
🐕 Surf Dog Surf-a-Thon — Dogs hit the waves Sunday 8am to 2pm at Del Mar Dog Beach for Helen Woodward Animal Center's annual surfing fundraiser.
🎺 Chula Vista El Grito — Mexican Independence Day festivities bring free live music, cultural performances, food and the traditional Grito ceremony to Memorial Park Sunday 4pm to 8pm.
🎸 Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds — Sturgill Simpson brings his Johnny Blue Skies project to Viejas Arena at SDSU Sunday, with doors open at 7pm and the show at 8pm.
🍴 San Diego Restaurant Week — The fall edition kicks off Sunday and runs through Sept. 20, with prix-fixe menus at restaurants across San Diego County.
