Hey, it's time to make weekend plans!
The big picture: From music to family fun to food festivals, there's plenty to do across San Diego County this weekend.
🎡 Ramona Country Fair: Carnival rides, live music, western shows, food vendors and an off-road car show fill the Ramona Outdoor Community Center Friday through Sunday. Admission is free.
⚾ Padres vs. Giants: The Padres host their NL West rivals at Petco Park Friday at 6:45pm, Saturday at 5:40pm and Sunday at 1:10pm. Sunday's game also includes family activities at KidsFest before first pitch.
🌺 Heiva San Diego: Tahitian dancing, drumming, music, artisans and island culture take over Harrah's Resort Southern California in Valley Center Friday through Sunday.
🎻 SummerFest opening weekend: La Jolla Music Society launches the festival's 40th anniversary Friday through Sunday with evening concerts at The Conrad, a free MCASD tour and a Sunday afternoon performance.
😂 ha ha ha ha ha ha ha: Julia Masli's audience-shaped solo comedy plays Friday through Sunday at La Jolla Playhouse's Forum Theatre, with two performances Saturday.
🦈 Shark Summer: Birch Aquarium wraps up its shark-focused summer programming Friday through Sunday in La Jolla, with activities highlighting shark science and conservation included with aquarium admission.
🌙 Parks After Dark: Free music, sports, crafts, inflatables and family activities run Friday and Saturday 5-8pm at participating San Diego recreation centers. Kids eat free while supplies last.
🍗 San Diego Soul Food Fest: Explore African, Caribbean and African American cuisines from local vendors Saturday 11am-4pm at North Park Mini Park. The festival is ticketed.
🎤 Jordin Sparks: The pop and R&B singer brings hits like "No Air," "Tattoo" and "Battlefield" to SeaWorld's Bayside Amphitheater Saturday at 6pm.
🎸 St. Vincent with the San Diego Symphony: St. Vincent reworks songs from across her catalog with a full orchestra Saturday at 7:30pm at The Rady Shell, with Arooj Aftab opening.
🐕 Cardiff Dog Days of Summer: Bring your pup for rescue groups, contests, live music, food trucks, dog yoga and more Sunday from 10am-3pm at Encinitas Community Park. Admission is free.
