San Diegans have their own fashion sense. But what that means is different to everyone.
The big picture: To celebrate our distinct dressing style, we're launching a new series on San Diego outfits, where we'll ask locals what's a quintessential OOTD to them.
First up, Congresswoman Sara Jacobs.
- She's usually dressed for the halls of federal power, but when in town, her uniform is a sundress, sandals, sunglasses and a sweater for cooler evenings, she told Axios.
- "Then you can dress it up or down," she said.
Flashback: When growing up in San Diego, her uniform was low-rise jeans, a white t-shirt and Rainbow Sandals, she said.
- Jacobs prefers the thinner strapped versions and has two pairs, light brown and dark brown.
