Next up in our new series on local real estate you can't help but ogle: 3 The Point mansion.
The big picture: This property is basically on its own island and sold for $24.1 million at a Hong Kong auction in September 2025.
- It was originally listed for $43 million, but went to auction after not finding a seller.
- Sorry, big spenders, it's not currently for sale.
The specs: Seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, 11,715 square feet, built in 2021.
The perks: There's a movie theater, a private bayfront with a dock and a 3,600-square-foot rooftop deck with a pool and golf course.
- A small golf course, but still a golf course.
💠My thought bubble: I had the strange experience of getting to visit this house in May. I've never seen anything like it.
- It has floor-to-ceiling windows everywhere and a deck that juts out over the bay, so you have gorgeous views.
- But you also feel very much on display.
- Everything was automated, from the window shades to the constantly cycling ice maker (so you never have to drink stale ice, the horror!).
It felt a little like a house from the beginning of a horror movie like "Scream" or "I Know What You Did Last Summer," so I didn't sleep over.
