San Diego income growth outpaces national rate

Personal income levels rose 5.9% in San Diego County from 2023 to 2024, according to new U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis data.
The big picture: That's bigger than the national increase of 5.6%.
By the numbers: Among counties with more than 500,000 residents, San Joaquin County, California, had the biggest gain (+9.7%).
- Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, had the smallest (+2.7%).
💰 Among all counties, Los Angeles County had the highest total personal income ($818.5 billion), while Loving County, Texas, had the lowest ($10.6 million).
Pinal County, Arizona, meanwhile, saw the biggest gain in real GDP among large counties, up 10.7%.
