I found my new favorite speakeasy for date nights, drinks with the girls and wowing visitors.
Dig in: Realm of the 52 Remedies in Convoy was just named a semifinalist for the 2026 James Beard Awards in the outstanding bar category.
- Its name references the ancient Chinese medical text "Wushi'er Bingfang" (Recipes for 52 Ailments), and guests enter through a futuristic apothecary with herbs and tonics displayed.
What to try: The Jade Empress ($20) is like a citrusy green tea iced matcha latte in cocktail form, topped with a salted cream cheese foam. It's inspired by a Happy Lemon boba shop drink and can be made spirit-free.
- The Kasato Maru is a refreshing floral cocktail with elderflower, pear and yuzu flavors that shine through.
- The citrusy, smoky Lalisa (spirit-free available) and funky, spirit-forward Clean Slate are also worth sipping on.
Best bite: The Chile Garlic Tamago ($19) is an Asian twist on deviled eggs that are drenched with flavor and have a zip of heat from the fresh jalapeño on top.
💭 Kate's thought bubble: The Asian-inspired cocktails were unique and satisfying, the service was top-notch and the decor makes it a fun vibe that's quiet and intimate but not stuffy.
