Weekend events: Clippers, holiday mariachi, 90s music

Heavy rain is expected this weekend that's rescheduled or cancelled big events, but don't let that dampen your fun!

There are plenty of other fun things to do indoors.

🏀 The San Diego Clippers open the NBA G League season at home against Salt Lake City on Friday and a military night on Sunday at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside.

🌺 Watch the "Moana" movie accompanied by a live concert at the Balboa Theatre on Friday.

🩰 The World Ballet Company performs Cinderella in a Broadway-style show on Friday at the Civic Theatre.

🏒 The San Diego Gulls play at Pechanga Arena with a punk rock night on Friday and military night on Saturday.

🎶 Go back in time with the Saved by the 90s cover band and party at Belly Up on Saturday.

🪴 Check out the plant swap and local art exhibition at North Park Nursery with a DJ set and non-alcoholic cocktails on Saturday.

🍷 Pair fine wine with a classical music performances at the Mainly Mozart series at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club on Saturday and Sunday.

🏈 Face the rain with the SDSU Aztecs as the team takes on Boise State at Snapdragon on Saturday in a battle for the top spot in the Mountain West.

🍻 The ride for the annual Bike and Beers event on Saturday was cancelled due to weather, but the craft beer party at AleSmith Brewing is still on.

🎻 Kick off the holiday season with Mariachi Los Camperos' Fiesta Navidad at the Jacobs Music Center on Sunday.
