Halloween is still a week away, but you can get in the spirit early with spooky celebrations happening this weekend.
From haunted trails to trick-or-treating, here are 10 ways to have some festive fun with family and friends in San Diego.
🚢 Step aboard the USS Midway on Friday for the Haunted Hangar Halloween Bash — The Goonies Edition, filled with pirate thrills, a magic show and and trick-or-treat treasure hunt.
🎻 Enjoy the "The Nightmare Before Christmas" movie in concert, performed by the San Diego Symphony on Friday and Saturday at downtown's Jacobs Music Center.
🍬 Trick-or-treat on India Street on Sunday as Little Italy it gets a spooky makeover into the "Nightmare Before Christmas" theme, complete with a 13-foot-tall Jack Skellington.
🧌 Scream your way through Haunted Trail at Balboa Park.
🎥 Watch an interactive screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," as part of the film's 50th anniversary tour, at Balboa Theatre on Saturday.
🎃 Visit a pumpkin patch like Bates Nut Farm, which is hosting its Friday fall festival with live music and rides, plus the annual parade and costume contests for people and dogs this weekend.
🌼 Celebrate Dia de los Muertos at family-friendly festivals with live performances, elaborate ofrendas and Mexican food and art in Barrio Logan, City Heights, Encinitas and Oceanside.
