More than 100 restaurants around the county are currently offering curated, multi-course menus as part of San Diego Restaurant Week, which started Sunday.
Why it matters: The 8-day, biannual eating event is a great excuse to get to that restaurant you've been meaning to try.
These are the places I'm thinking about:
🍳 Brunch in Gaslamp at Saint James French Diner ($35) to enjoy bourbon maple beignets and a croque madame. (menu)
🍣 Lunch in Del Mar at Glassbox ($25) for the chirashi bowl and matcha tiramisu. (menu)
🍝 Dinner in South Park at Il Posto ($35), where I'm ordering the fusili alla siciliana. (menu)
🍸 North Park's One Door North ($50) has cocktails as a course, and I want to sip the fireside tahona with mezcal and passion fruit. (menu)
If you go: The specials run through Sept. 21. Reservations are recommended.
