Congrats to Bonnie B. for recognizing the bulls-eye at the dead end of the path around Lake Murray!
State of play: Lake Murray โ also known as Murray Reservoir โ stores up to 4,864 acre feet of drinking water, at a depth of up to 95 feet.
It's home to popular recreation activities like canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and running and walking the six miles along the up-and-back path.
The intrigue: Mayor Todd Gloria's budget proposes cutting about $889,000 of spending from the city's recreation program at Lake Murray and other reservoirs.
The cuts are expected to close the parking lot and eliminate security and bathroom service on weekdays, limiting access to weekends.
