Celebrate MLK Day with these weekend events in San Diego

🥁 43rd annual MLK Day Parade

Watch the floats, bands, drill teams, fraternities and sororities, churches, youth groups and other organizations cruise downtown.

• When and where: Sunday, 11am along Harbor Drive from Ash Street to Pacific Highway
• Cost: Free

🏃🏿‍♀️Community run/walk

Get your steps in along the waterfront during this community walk and fun run (5K or 1 mile). Then check out the Harmony Health Fest.

• When and where: Race starts 9am Sunday at Harbor Drive and Ash Street; health festival is 9am-4pm
• Cost: Register here for $35-$40

🎶 Multicultural festival

Celebrate at the annual event featuring soul, jazz, reggae and other musical artists, craft vendors, guest speakers and dance performances.

• When and where: Monday from noon-6pm at Worldbeat Cultural Center in Balboa Park
• Cost: Free

🤝 Volunteer with HandsOn San Diego

Give back on Monday, also a National Day of Service, with volunteer opportunities countywide, including packing food for homeless neighbors and sorting clothing donations.
