SDFC and Wave will both play in 2025 preseason tournament

San Diego's MLS and NWSL teams are both playing in the 2025 Coachella Valley Invitational in February.

Why it matters: This will be the first opportunity for fans to see San Diego FC play ahead of its inaugural season, and get a glimpse into the Wave's next era.

Zoom in: The preseason showcase at the Empire Polo Club in Indio features matches between 14 MLS teams and six NWSL teams over three weeks.

SDFC will play its first game against NYC FC on Feb. 8, followed by the Portland Timbers on Feb. 12 and N.Y. Red Bulls on Feb. 15.
The Wave will face the Houston Dash on Feb. 16 and Bay FC on Feb. 22.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday with passes starting at $25 for a full day of games.
